Create an Assignment for Paper Submissions

Create an extra column in the Canvas Gradebook to account for grades such as paper submissions or participation grades by adding an assignment and selecting No Submission. This ensures the Canvas gradebook reflects accurately the student's progress in the course.  Once this is created,  grades can be entered directly into the gradebook area. 

Steps:

1. Create an assignment in Canvas .
2. In the Submission Type drop-down menu, select No Submission type.
