Use Lockdown Browser in Class

Respondus Lockdown Browser is a customized browser that increases the security of test delivery in Canvas. When students are required to use Lockdown Browser for a quiz, they are unable to print, copy, navigate to another page in Canvas, go to another URL, or access other applications. Although Lockdown browser is used for online quizzes, it can efficiently be used in the classroom to administer quizzes and deter cheating. Instructors can decide to turn on or off the feature.

Visit the Lockdown Browser service page for step-by-step direction on how to add Lockdown Browser to a course navigation and how to turn it on for the quiz.
