Understanding Class Search Icons and Capacity Indicators

Viewing Class Details

Your shopping cart and both simple and advanced class searches display class capacity as well as the seats currently available.

The status of a class can be Open, Closed, or Waitlisted. You can click on a class in your search results or shopping cart to view additional availability and class details.

Class Status Indicators

Open classes are signified by a green square with the letter "O." In the example below, ANTH 2301 has 32 open seats out of a total of 120.

Closed classes show a red square with the letter "C."

Classes that have an active wait list show a yellow square with the letter "W." You will also be able to see how many seats are open on the wait list. In this example, ACCT 2302 has two spots available on its wait list out of a total of ten.

Classes that show a gray triangle with an exclamation point have reserve capacity. Reserve capacity seats are reserved for students in specific programs, majors, or groups. Hover your cursor over the triangle to view details.

Your Shopping Cart

When classes are added to your cart, you will also see a summary of the class status based on the indicators described above.

  1. Waitlist (Indicated by an orange square with the letter W)
  2. Open (Indicated by a green square with the letter O)
  3. Closed (Indicated by a red square with the letter C)
  4. Reserve Capacity (Indicated by a gray triangle with an exclamation point)
