Approved Connectors

As Claude is implemented on campus, connectors to third-party services are being evaluated and approved according to the needs of our community. Below are the currently approved connectors for use with Claude. If you have any questions about connectors, send a message to askaboutai@smu.edu.

Microsoft 365

The Microsoft 365 connector links Claude to your SMU Microsoft account so it can work with your Outlook email and calendar, Teams chats and channels, and more. It can write new emails, replies and reply-alls as drafts in Outlook, and it can create or update calendar events, accept or decline invites, find open meeting times, and apply labels. You stay the one who reviews and sends. Claude searches your messages, meetings or documents, reads what’s relevant, and answers with links back to the sources.

Using Connectors

To enable a connector, click on your name in the bottom left-hand corner of the Claude app, then click Settings. Under the Customize section, click Connectors. Then, click Connect on the connector you wish to set up and follow the provided prompts.
