Support for SMU Trustees
The following additional support is available for all SMU Board members to support the transition to Microsoft Authenticator.
Self Service Installation
You will need both a computer (desktop or laptop) and your cellphone or iPad for this process.
Step 1:
Using your computer, go to smu.edu/passwordless to register
Step 2:
Using your computer, go to https://smu.edu/mfasetup
Follow the on screen instructions which will guide you to install the application on your cell phone or iPad.
Step 3:
Once the application is installed,
- Click Next on your computer from the previous setup screen. A QR code will be displayed on the computer screen.
- Open the Authenticator App on your mobile device
- Scan the QR code with the authenticator application
- Click Next in the setup window on the computer to try it out. Enter the number shown on the computer screen in the Authenticator App screen on your phone.
