Gordon Brannon

Gordon is from Portland, Oregon. He graduated from The University of North Texas with a bachelor's degree in accounting. Gordon joined the SMU Financial Aid staff in March 2006.

As a Financial Aid Advisor at SMU, Gordon serves as an integral part of students' pursuit of a college degree. He finds it to be both an exhilarating and inspiring experience in assisting students with enhancing their education.

Briana Palacio

Briana joined the financial aid advising staff in December of 2021 after graduating from the University of North Texas with a degree in Finance. She is a fan of any outdoor activity, especially soccer, and plays in multiple soccer leagues.  Briana feels blessed to work on such a beautiful campus  and often enjoys a lunchtime stroll across campus to unwind and clear her head.  We are very pleased and fortunate to have Briana join our staff.

Penny Griffin

Penny is a proud graduate of SMU and has worked in financial aid at SMU for over 10 years. Penny loves working at SMU with her great co-workers and all of the wonderful students and families with which she gets to interact. She also loves the atmosphere and the beauty of the campus. Penny's best tip for students going through the financial aid process is to be aware of deadlines and not procrastinate!
