International Leadership Program (ILP)

Are you a high-achieving student looking to stand out? The International Leadership Program offers a unique opportunity to build your leadership resume while making a real impact on SMU's global community.

As an ILP leader, you'll gain hands-on professional development through regular leadership trainings and build valuable connections by networking with partners across campus departments. You'll also have the chance to collaborate on creative passion projects that shape the international student experience—from developing new initiatives to providing event support for in-person and virtual programming hosted by the International Student and Scholar Services Office.

Beyond the professional growth, ILP leaders become trusted guides for their peers—offering advice on living in the U.S., helping navigate on- and off-campus resources, and fostering a stronger, more connected global community at SMU.

Open to ALL SMU students domestic, international, graduate, and undergraduate. If you're ready to sharpen your leadership, communication, and teamwork skills while building meaningful relationships across campus, ILP is the place to start.
