SMU Technology Showcase Spotlights Campus AI Work, Drawing More Than 100 on Rainy Reading Day

More than 100 SMU faculty, staff, and graduate students filled Frances Anne Moody Hall on May 6 for the 2026 SMU Technology Showcase, a daylong celebration of the AI, instructional technology, and research tools being put to work across the university. The visual centerpiece was a series of poster displays spanning four categories — Teaching, Research, Administration, and Operations — that represented every school and a long list of administrative units, for which attendees could vote for their favorites.
