Resources.SMU

Resources.SMU, powered by XWiki, allows editors to go beyond the simple wiki and provides a publicly available space for knowledge base information and support documentation.

Resources.SMUUsing XWiki's extensibility, Resources.SMU allows areas to meet the University’s enterprise need to provide information publicly, including uses as a knowledge base, host for instructional guides, and support documentation for all.

Get Started

The Resources.SMU wiki is publicly available at resources.smu.edu.

To edit content on Resources.SMU, click the Sign In button above.

  • If you are authenticated with Single Sign-On and Duo two-factor authentication, you will be passed through to the Resources.SMU dashboard.
  • If you are not authenticated:
    1. at the Single Sign-On screen, enter your NetID and SMU password.
    2. Click Login.
    3. Duo two-factor authentication is required for accessing Resources.SMU.
    4. Once authenticated, you will be passed through to the Resources.SMU dashboard.

Requesting a New Wiki Space

Benefits of using Resources.SMU

  • Content is publicly available on the web, from anywhere and by anyone.
  • Information in one page can be used in other pages, making frequently-updated information easier to manage.
  • Pages are indexed and easily searchable with Google, Bing, DuckDuckGo, or other search engine.
  • Editing uses a simple graphical interface; pictures can be pasted directly into pages.
  • Resources.SMU documents are versioned: changes are tracked over time.
