All Canvas courses include access to the Lucid Education Suite, empowering instructors and students with visual collaboration tools (whiteboarding and diagramming) anytime and anywhere within Canvas. The Lucid Education Suite comprises Lucidchart, an intelligent diagramming application, and Lucidspark, a collaborative virtual whiteboard.

About Lucidchart & Lucidspark

Lucidchart

Lucidchart is an intelligent diagramming application that allows you to visualize complex ideas, systems, and processes. Users can collaborate on drawings, revise and share charts, diagram and more.

Lucidspark

Lucidspark is great for brainstorming ideas and collaborating in real-time. It is a virtual whiteboard application where teams can ideate, plan, and build together.

Getting Started

Steps for Accessing Lucid in Canvas

  1. Find Lucid in Canvas in either Course Navigation or the Rich Content Editor
  2. Click on the Lucid Icon in the Rich Content Editor or "Lucid Whiteboard" in Course Navigation

  3. If you have a pre-existing account, watch this video to learn how to connect your pre-existing account.

    Please Note: If you are switching over to Lucid in Canvas from a paid account, you will need to finish your subscription and cancel your subscription to prevent it from renewing. Subscriptions are automatically renewed if they are not cancelled at least 30 days prior.
  4. Begin using Lucid!
