Hannah GalbreathResearch Interests:
Hannah studies integrated STEM learning approaches rooted in design, exploration and real‑world relevance. She focuses on expanding student access and engagement—particularly for girls in elementary and middle school. As part of a National Science Foundation–funded project, she contributes to developing an out‑of‑school STEM and sports curriculum aimed at building STEM knowledge, skills, interest and identity among youth ages 8–11.

Road to the Moody School:
Before her doctoral studies, Hannah earned a double B.A. in biology and environmental science from Washington and Lee University. She joined Teach for America and taught middle‑school science in Dallas ISD while completing her M.Ed. in teaching and learning with a STEM focus at SMU. Balancing full‑time teaching with graduate studies strengthened her commitment to equity in STEM education.
