Francesca's research explores the intersections of migration, literature, diaspora, and law in the 21st century, with particular attention to Africa and the Global North. Nwaobi's broader interests include Black feminism, and publishing in the age of artificial intelligence. She has taught First-Year Composition courses at Southern Illinois University Carbondale and serves as a reviewer for Callaloo: A Journal of African Diaspora Arts and Letters.
