About AdminImages.SMU

AdminImages.SMU provides an electronic document storage and retrieval system. Electronic documents can either be scanned in or captured in a variety of ways, and all documents are stored in a secure, encrypted database. Workflow capabilities and interaction with my.SMU make this a powerful system as you make the transition from paper to electronic document management. 

Requesting Permission

Groups using AdminImages already can request permissions through the IT Help Desk. If you are new to AdminImages, please contact the IT Help Desk to request a consultation.

Current Browser Standards for AdminImages

Perceptive Experience is currently supported under the following desktop internet browsers:

  • Apple Safari (macOS v10.10)
  • Google Chrome (Windows)
  • Microsoft Edge
  • Microsoft Internet Explorer 11
  • Mozilla Firefox (Windows)

For accessing on a mobile device, we recommend the following:

  • Perceptive Experience mobile app for iOS (iOS 9.0 and higher)
  • Perceptive Experience mobile app for Android (Android 5.0 and higher)

If your browser is not one of those listed above, please use the Perceptive Content client, now available to all Faculty and Staff on Apps.SMU.


Still using WebNow?

Please Note: IE 11 is the only supported browser for accessing WebNow on Windows.

Recent updates have limited the selection of compatible browsers for WebNow, so we are pleased to offer an alternative. Your documents can be quickly accessed through the Perceptive Content client, now available to all Faculty and Staff on Apps.SMU.
Issues after a Java update?

Having trouble opening WebNow after a Java update? Please, do the following:

  1. Click Start.
  2. Click Control Panel.
  3. Click Java (32-bit).
  4. Click the Security Tab.
  5. Click Edit Site List.
  6. Click Add.
  7. Type https://adminimages.smu.edu
  8. Click OK.
