Register Your Device

To register your device, you will need to do the following:

  1. Plug in your device and power it up first. It needs to attempt the network connection before you complete the registration form.
  2. Obtain the device's MAC address (see appropriate instructions below)
  3. Register the MAC address
  4. Unplug the device from power for 30 minutes before plugging it back in and connecting it to SMU_Guest.
Please note: Failure to wait 30 minutes, can cause to the connection to fail.

Using the wireless network

Many gaming devices offer wireless connection capabilities. However, not all support the WPA security type required by the SMU network. If your device does offer WPA, you will need to configure the device just as you would your computer. Once it is configured for SMU_Guest, locate the Mac address and register the address according to the instructions above. The device should then connect via SMU_Guest.
