SUMMER YOUTH PROGRAM AT SMU-IN-PLANO

More than 60 one-week workshops for students in fun and enriching subjects including LEGO® camps, science, creative arts, video game design and music programs.

Talented and Gifted Program

College Experience

Five-week summer program enables academically driven high school students to get a head start on college and experience a taste of life on a college campus. Participants can earn up to 6 credit hours that may be applied toward a bachelor’s degree.

SUMMER CAMPS AT LYLE SCHOOL OF ENGINEERING

Crime Scene Investigation Camp for 6th and 7th grade students

The SMU CSI Summer Camp is comprised of four, three day-long sessions (two for girls and two for boys) where students will have the opportunity to explore the science and technology behind identification and crime solving.

Hilltop Sports Camp

Hilltop Sports Camp promotes a well-rounded recreational and athletic experience for campers including activities on the climbing wall, in the fitness studios, on the intramural fields, and in the swimming pool.

Football Camps

Through an NFL combine-type workout, campers will receive individual instruction and will be evaluated by each coach based upon their testing and demonstrated ability during the drill period of the camp.

SMU Mustang Swim Camps

The SMU camp offers a low-camper-to-coach and counselor ratio, allowing the campers a unique opportunity for individual attention from Olympic coaches and NCAA All-Americans. One of the most important aspects of this camp is the focus on having fun while working hard, learning new skills and becoming better swimmers.

Tennis Camps

SMU will be using both indoor and outdoor courts at our state of the art Tennis stadium, allowing the children to stay fresh even when the Texas heat arrives! Children will be coached on the court in a 4 to 1 ratio, maximizing their opportunity to learn and improve their skills and develope confidence in their abilities. Beginning students and advanced will be taught according to their level and no level is too low or too high.

Skills Session Day Camp

Both morning sessions (9 a.m.-noon) will be a setting and attacking clinic with a focus on developing technique in each position. One afternoon session (1-4p.m.) will be a serve receive and serving clinic and the other will be a serving and individual/team defense clinic.
