Meadows Theatre alums and current student among winners of DFW Theater Critics Forum Awards
Alumni win recognition in categories of outstanding actor, actress, director and creativity
Six Meadows theatre alumni and a current theatre student are among the winners named this week in the annual Dallas-Fort Worth Theater Critics Forum Awards. The awards recognize multiple winners in each of seven categories for their outstanding work on shows that opened during the past year. The choices were made by 12 North Texas theatre critics.
Meadows winners included:
Outstanding Actor:
Adam A. Anderson, Ma Rainey’s Black Bottom, Jubilee Theatre
Outstanding Actress:
Tiffany Hobbs, A Raisin in the Sun, Dallas Theater Center; and Spunk, WaterTower Theatre
Tina Parker, Detroit, Kitchen Dog Theater
Outstanding Direction:
David Denson, Year of the Rooster, Upstart Productions
Tim Johnson, Detroit, Kitchen Dog Theater
Outstanding Design/Creative Contribution:
Jeffrey Colangelo and Katy Tye (’15), movement, Galatea, Prism Co.
