Step 1: Schedule a Campus Visit

Many visitors like to begin their day by attending a general SMU Information Session and touring the campus with SMU’s admissions team before coming to Meadows School of the Arts to learn about Meadows degree programs, clubs and activities.

The general SMU Information Sessions are typically offered at 9:30 a.m. and 2:15 p.m., and Campus tours are offered at 10:00 a.m. and 2:45 p.m. (afternoon tour during academic year only).

When registering for your campus visit, be sure to scroll to the end of the form and select the “Meadows Academic Session,” offered Monday through Friday at 1 p.m. Meadows recruiters will meet you in the front lobby of the Owen Arts Center and will provide you with an overview of our majors and minors as well as information on our audition, portfolio, and scholarship processes. Each session includes a tour of the Meadows facilities.

Schedule your SMU campus visit here.

Step 2: Schedule a Meadows Class Observation

Students interested in observing a music class and/or ensemble rehearsal, or setting up a sample music lesson: please do not use this form, rather, refer to the instructions regarding music visits posted here.

High school seniors and transfers students who have already visited the SMU campus and attended a 1 p.m. Meadows academic information session may register to observe a Meadows class via the Meadows Class Observation Form.

Please note that class observation requests must be submitted two weeks in advance, and are subject to availability.

Before registering, please check your possible visit dates with the SMU Academic Calendar to avoid campus breaks.

We look forward to meeting you!
