Brady Wolchansky

Brady Wolchansky is a creative professional, multidisciplinary artist and academic administrator with extensive operational experience in arts and nonprofit institutions. Her diverse background spans marketing, event coordination, bookkeeping and talent representation by Cachet Talent. An active contributor to the Dallas film scene and an advocate for the Texas film industry, her own artistic endeavors include stand-up comedy, acting, screenwriting, performance art and experimental video.

Wolchansky’s creative portfolio features improvised and scripted one-woman performances that merge comedy tropes with feminist undertones. In 2024, she completed her first narrative short, Manic Pixie Dream Girl Syndrome, a film she wrote, acted in, and co-directed alongside SMU Film & Media Arts alumna Grace Maddox. The film premiered at the 2025 Idyllwild International Festival of Cinema, winning the Vanguard Award for Best International Short Film.

In addition to her creative pursuits, Wolchansky serves as the Communication Arts Manager for the undergraduate divisions of Film & Media Arts and Corporate Communication and Public Affairs (CCPA) at SMU Meadows School of the Arts. Promoted to this dual-capacity role from Administrative Specialist, she provides high-touch support and administrative excellence to undergraduate students and faculty across both programs. She also serves as the editor of the student newsletter, Film & Media Arts Monthly, fostering departmental community and celebrating emerging artists.

An alumnus of Booker T. Washington High School for the Performing and Visual Arts, Wolchansky holds a B.F.A. in Integrated Studio Arts from the Milwaukee Institute of Art & Design and an M.F.A. in Visual Studies from the Pacific Northwest College of Art at Willamette University.
