Julia Hosch Singh is passionate about expanding access to the arts. In her capacity as the City of Dallas’ Cultural Programs Manager, she oversees all operations for the city’s arts and culture funding programs, connecting more than 300 individual artists and artistic nonprofits with more than $9M in municipal funding each year. Her professional experience includes work at arts nonprofits of all sizes, ranging from start-ups to established flagships such as Big Thought; and consulting firms local and international, including The Bridgespan Group.

As an adjunct lecturer at SMU, she brings her background in philanthropy, consulting and direct program management to ANPL 6305: Financial Stewardship. In this class, students ask and answer the question: how do we take care of our resources, so that we can take care of people?

Hosch Singh continues to be actively involved in the Dallas arts community as a classical French horn player and has performed for over 20 years on both local and national stages. Her current volunteer work includes service as a grant reviewer for local and state foundations; a Junior League member; and a member of White Rock United Methodist Church. She lives in Lake Highlands with husband Aditya, daughter Diya Catherine, and dog, Bhalu.
