Lindsey Reynolds

Lindsey Reynolds is a Ph.D. candidate in the RASC/a: Rhetorics of Art, Space and Culture program in art history at SMU. She received an M.A. in Art History from the University of Houston and a B.A. in Art History from the University of Texas at Austin. Reynolds specializes in global modern and contemporary art. Her dissertation, focused on the mail-based networking practices of artists-in-exile between the late 1960s and early 1990s, responds to related challenges of authorship, censorship, displacement and distribution amid the rise of globalization. Reynolds’s writing has appeared in exhibition catalogues from The Modern Art Museum of Fort Worth and Fotofest, Houston; a forthcoming anthology on Arab art in the 1980s; and the Austin-based Sightlines Magazine. Additionally, she has held curatorial fellowships at the Blanton Museum of Art, Dallas Museum of Art, Museum of Fine Arts Houston, FotoFest, Blaffer Art Museum, and The Warehouse, where she contributed to the exhibition For What It's Worth: Value Systems in Art since 1960.
