Joseph Brennan

Joseph Brennan is a second-year M.A. student in the RASC/a: Rhetorics of Art, Space and Culture program in art history at SMU. Brennan received his B.A. as a University Scholar with concentrations in art history and classics from Baylor University in Waco, TX. He also received his M.A. in International Relations from Texas A&M University in College Station. His academic focus is pre- and post-Roman North Africa, from the 9th century BCE through 3rd century CE. He is currently researching votive iconography from the Tophets, as well as religious syncretism and artistic hybridity in the ancient Mediterranean more broadly.
