Esteban’s research focuses on electoral competition and its effects on different economic outcomes such as crime, poverty, inequality and subjective well-being.
Born in Medellin, Colombia, Esteban earned a B.S. in economics at Universidad EAFIT and an M.sc. in economics at Universidad del Rosario. Outside of research, Esteban enjoys playing bass guitar, reading short stories and gaming.
