Anping Zhou

Research Interests:
Anping’s investigations focus on optimization methods that aim to tackle the uncertainty arising from renewable energy sources. He uses these methods to take on power system operation problems such as economic dispatch, unit commitment and electricity markets. 

Road to the Moody School:
From 2019 to 2021, Anping worked at the Electric Power Research Institute of China Southern Power Grid, Guangzhou, China. He received his B.S. and M.S. in electrical engineering from Shandong University, Jinan, China, in 2017 and 2019, respectively. In his spare time, he enjoys playing basketball and watching sports, as well as listening to music.
