Karen Wray

Bio

Karen serves as Executive Assistant to Dr. Robin Poston, Dean and Associate Provost of Education for the Moody School of Graduate and Advanced Studies at Southern Methodist University.

A California native, Karen studied Business Administration at San Jose City College and Mission College before beginning her professional career in Silicon Valley. After relocating to the East Coast, she expanded her expertise in the pharmaceutical and clinical research operations industry, where she developed a strong foundation in executive support, project coordination, and organizational operations.

Karen moved to Dallas in 2017 and joined SMU, where she has served in both the Office of Research and the Moody School of Graduate and Advanced Studies. She is passionate about supporting academic leadership, fostering collaboration, and helping advance the university’s mission through exceptional service and operational excellence.
