Homecoming and Reunion Weekend Events

On Homecoming weekend, the Bush Center will welcome Gary Sinise, acclaimed actor and advocate for veterans. Sinise will join for a live podcast recording and book signing on Friday, November 13, 2026, at 10:00 a.m. to discuss his latest book, Graceful Warrior: The True Story of a Son, a Father, and a Family Who Carried Each Other Through.
A tribute to his late son, Sinise reflects on writing this memoir, “So, I really believe that by sharing our story in this book, others who may be going through something difficult in their own lives may find hope and strength to help carry them through. We are, after all, all human beings. We are all going through difficult times ourselves, yet we can all be graceful warriors in how we approach our challenges in the fights we’re in.”
