Cruse believes in the power of music to change lives. Because of this fundamental belief, she constantly studies, promotes and performs sacred music. In 2019, she created an online platform called The Church Musician's Assistant to teach skills, inspire creativity, and encourage church musicians in a widely-accessible, practical way. These resources can be found on Youtube, Facebook, or The Church Musician's Assistant Website. Cruse currently works as the music director and organist at First Presbyterian Church in Clarksville, TN. Previously, she worked various music positions at churches including West Plano Presbyterian (Plano, TX), Northridge Presbyterian Church (Dallas, TX), and Epiphany Episcopal Church (Richardson, Texas). Cruse has published articles with Sing! The Center for Congregational Song, The Canterbury Dictionary of Hymnology and the United Methodist Church’s History of Hymns website. In a world full of hate, fear, and suffering, Cruse strives to impart love, acceptance, and peace through the art of music.
