AFTER YOU PAY YOUR DEPOSIT

DURING THE MONTHS OF JULY AND AUGUST

  •  Find out your roommate assignment via SMU email (Must submit housing application by June 1.)
  •  Attend Stampede (In August before classes begin.)

AFTER ENROLLING IN YOUR CLASSES

PRIOR TO ARRIVING ON CAMPUS IN THE FALL

  •  Pay your bill with the Bursar's Office (All accounts must be up-to-date before you attend class in the Fall.)
  •  Read the SMU Student Handbook (Updated versions available by July 1.)
  •  Read the Community Standards, Fire Safety Guidelines and Student Code of Conduct (Updated versions available by July 1.)
  •  Register for or waive your parking permit
  •  Check your SMU email for your mailbox number (This will be sent to your SMU email address in late July.)
  •  Call or email your roommate (Information will be sent to you in August.)
  •  Mail your boxes to your PO Box on campus (Beginning in August. You will receive more information in late July.)
  •  Check your SMU email for other to-do items

WHEN YOU ARRIVE ON CAMPUS

  •  Update your local address on my.SMU
