Courtney Brown – Dinosaur Choir
Dinosaur Choir is a project that explores dinosaur vocalization via musical skull instruments. Courtney Brown, an assistant professor at the Center of Creative Computation in Meadows, created the project. All current musical instruments realize a duck-billed dinosaur called the Corythosaurus.

Two recent alumni from the Meadows’ Division of Theatre have been selected to perform an original work at the prestigious international arts showcase, the Edinburgh Fringe Festival.
Brian Molanphy, professor and chair for Meadow’s Division of Art, presented a solo exhibition of ceramics and drawings at an art gallery in Taipei, Taiwan over the summer.

MADI Alumni Take Flight at Southwest Airlines

It’s especially popular in the digital art world but has expanded into other collectibles such as trading cards, comic books, games and more.

Creative computing and creative technology are related but different disciplines. Creative computing centers on the use of computer science to create digital art and expression, while creative technology centers on leveraging technology to enhance and augment traditional forms of creative expression or to create new forms of physical art.

SMU’s Meadows Museum Names New Director
SMU has named Amanda W. Dotseth Linda P. and William A. Custard Director of the Meadows Museum and Centennial Chair at Meadows School of the Arts. Dotseth, who will be the first female director of the Meadows Museum, served as the director ad interim and curator of the Museum since the passing of its previous director, Mark A. Roglán, in 2021.

Professor Ira Greenberg Leads Groundbreaking Master’s Program Combining Coding and Creativity
