Rising Scholars Program

SMU Dedman School of Law is hosting a week-long, residential program for current high school juniors/rising seniors from historically underrepresented populations from June 3 - June 7, 2024. The Rising Scholars Program will immerse the participants in the law school experience. You will take classes from law professors, meet with practicing attorneys, develop your writing and oral advocacy skills, and participate in a moot court competition. Currently, the program will be conducted in person and will follow COVID-19 protocols.

APPLICATIONS WILL BE REVIEWED ON A ROLLING BASIS. Applicants will be notified a week after their application is received. Space is limited; so, students are encouraged to apply early. The deadline to apply is midnight on Friday, April 12, 2024.
