Favorite thing about SMU: My favorite thing about SMU is its vibrant campus community. I experienced this firsthand when I first visited campus this summer, and after starting to work here, I’ve come to appreciate even more what a true gem SMU is. From the students, faculty, and staff to the administration, SMU is a place where people genuinely care about one another and are committed to helping you succeed. I feel incredibly fortunate to represent such a wonderful institution and to share the SMU experience with prospective students and their families.

Favorite place on campus: When I enter campus each morning on Bishop Boulevard and see the beautiful trees lining the entrance to Southern Methodist University, it immediately puts a smile on my face. Starting my day at the main entrance, I look forward to connecting with students and colleagues and being part of the vibrant SMU community.

Bishop Boulevard is also where SMU hosts Boulevarding, a wonderful tradition that brings the Mustang community together to socialize, enjoy great food, and celebrate before home football games. I’m especially excited to experience this tradition for the first time this fall and to be part of the Mustang spirit!

Favorite restaurant near campus: My favorite restaurant near campus is Terry Black’s Barbecue, located less than 15 minutes from SMU. The barbecue is outstanding! It’s a great spot to enjoy delicious Texas BBQ and experience a little more of what makes Dallas special.

What I recommend during your stay in Dallas: My recommendation during your stay in Dallas is to explore! Dallas has so much to offer, and there truly is something for everyone. Since  recently relocating to Dallas, I’ve been enjoying the opportunity to explore the city and discover all that it has to offer. I especially love immersing myself in the Dallas culture, meeting wonderful people, and experiencing the incredible cuisine. Take the time to get out and explore—you never know what you might discover!
