Congratulations to Dan Wittliff, P.E., F.NSPE, who was recently installed as the new president of the National Society of Professional Engineers for 2012-13. Mr. Wittliff is the Managing Director of Environmental Services for GDS Associates, a multiservice consulting and engineering firm in Austin. Dan has been a member of NSPE since 1972, and has held various local and national leadership roles over the years. In 2004, he was named an NSPE Fellow. He is also a member of the Abilene chapter of the Texas Society of Professional Engineers (TSPE), which honored him in 1998 as the Engineer of the Year and gave him the President’s Award in 2010. Mr. Wittliff is a Mechanical Engineering Alum of SMU (’72) and also holds an MBA from the University of Oklahoma.
