Cancellation, Withdrawal and Refund Policy

Cancellation of the Program

The program may be cancelled if enrollment is too low to sustain it or if some extraordinary circumstance prevents its occurrence. The program has, however, has never been cancelled.  If the program is cancelled registrants will be notified and given information about an alternative program.  

Permitted Withdrawal from the Program 

If changes are made in the course offerings or other significant aspects of the program, SMU Dedman Law School will communicate those changes and registrants will have an opportunity to withdraw.  

If, during or prior to the commencement of the program, a U.S. State Department Travel Warning or Alert covering program dates is issued for the United Kingdom, all registrants will be notified promptly and given an opportunity to withdraw from the program.


If students withdraw as permitted during the course of the program or if the program is terminated, students will be refunded fees paid except for room and board payments incurred before the date of termination or withdrawal.  If an applicant withdraws from the program for any other reasons, any deposit paid before withdrawal will be returned only if a substitute is found.
