Wooden, who died June 4, 2010, was renowned for his short, simple inspirational messages to his players, including his "Pyramid of Success." These often were directed at how to be a success in life as well as in basketball.
TEDxSMU and Lockheed Martin Skunk Works Lab teams host the weekly brown bag lunch series centered on watching and discussing a TEDTalk from the TED.com archives. Each week features a different TEDTalk, and all members of the SMU and Dallas communities are welcome. The programs are free.
