In the News: SMU transformed by leadership and determination

In the final days of 2009, national and regional news media took a careful look at SMU, prompted in large part by the Mustangs' invitation to play in the Sheraton Hawaii Bowl, the first such invitation in 25 years. What each concluded was that through strong leadership and determination the University has matured, fosters higher academic standards and knows where it is headed — in the classrooms, in the research labs and on the playing field.
