Adding Time for Classic Quizzes
If a time limit is enabled on your quiz [1], you will need to add additional time for DASS students approved for extended testing.
Steps:
Once your quiz is Published [2], click on the title of the quiz to open it, then click Moderate This Quiz.
Find your DASS students & click the pencil icon to the right of their name.
In the Extra time on every attempt: box, input the extra minutes the student will receive on this quiz and click Save.
Example: If a student gets time and a half on a 60-minute quiz, you will input 30.
Adding Time for New Quizzes
If you use time limits on your quizzes, you will need to add additional time for DASS students approved for extended testing. This can be done once and will remain set for all New Quizzes in that course.
Steps:
Open your quiz and select Build to access the quiz builder.
Click Moderate from the quiz options.
Click the pencil icon underneath Accommodations for each of your DASS Students.
In the Time adjustments, choose Time limit multiplier.
Input the accommodating Time limit multiplier and click Save. No matter the length of your time limit, the student will always receive the multiplied time on any New Quiz in the course.
Add Time Window in Quizzes and Assignments
If you have set a window of time for your quiz or assignment to be available, you may add time for individual students. These can be used for adding additional time for DASS students, scheduling a makeup exam, or allowing a student a second attempt at a later time.
Steps:
Open your quiz or assignment to edit the details. Find your current time window and click +Add to create a new one.
Find the student(s) that need a change in the time window from the drop-down list and click their names to select [1]. Input the updated times into the appropriate sections, and click Save. Repeat for additional time windows.
