Power Outage Update: 9:40 p.m. Tuesday

The SMU Main Campus is experiencing an unexpected power outage that has affected many campus buildings since 4:07 p.m.

 

As of 8:45 p.m., power has been restored to the Residential Commons in the Southeast Quad: Crum, Crow, Armstrong, Loyd and Ware Commons, and students were able to return to these Commons. The Greek houses were not affected and maintained power.

 

Students living on campus were relocated to Highland Park United Methodist Church, on the southwest corner of campus. SMU personnel are with students at the church, which is prepared to host students and staff overnight if power is not restored to all of the Commons.
