5.6 Earthquake Jolts North Central Oklahoma

SMU Earth Sciences Professor Heather DeShon and Brian Stump talk about a magnitude-5.6 earthquake that jolted north central Oklahoma on Sept. 3 and the possible relationship to underground disposal of wastewater from oil and natural gas production. The USGS says the Pawnee, Okla., earthquake was the biggest in that state’s history.
