Religious historian Charles L. Cohen of the University of Wisconsin-Madison will lecture on "Jews and Muslims in Christian America" at 4 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 23, in Room 100 of SMU's Hyer Hall.
The lecture, which is free and open to the public, is sponsored by the Weatherred Memorial Fund and by the Dedman College Interdisciplinary Institute through the Scott-Hawkins Fund.

Charles L. Cohen is the E. Gordon Fox Professor of American Institutions and director of the Lubar Institute for the Study of the Abrahamic Religions at the University of Wisconsin-Madison. He is the former director of the UW-Madison Religious Studies Program and co-editor of Gods in America: Religious Pluralism in the United States (New York, 2013).
