As a precautionary measure, the SMU-in-Taos campus in northern New Mexico has been temporarily closed due to smoke from nearby fires. While essential personnel remain at the campus, other employees and students arriving for the June session have been relocated to alternative lodging accommodations in the town of Taos. SMU officials are in frequent communication with New Mexico fire officials to assess the wildfire situation in the area and will continue to provide updates.

Any students or faculty members who had expected to travel to Taos are asked to call SMU at 214-768-7273 for more information.
