Asst. Swim Coach Andy Kershaw to manage the 2012 U.S. Olympic Team

Andy KershawSouthern Methodist University assistant swim coach and Lexington High School graduate Andy Kershaw has been selected as the team manager for the 2012 United States men's Olympic swim team.

Kershaw also will serve as the team's manager at the 2011 World Championships in July in Shanghai, China.

"This is truly a tremendous honor and one that I will cherish for a lifetime," Kershaw said. "I look forward to working with the great people that represent our country's swim team."

In eight seasons at Southern Methodist, Kershaw has helped lead the Mustangs to seven conference championships and 37 All-America honors. Before arriving at SMU, he was an assistant coach at Ohio University from 1999 to 2003.

Kershaw served as U.S. team manager at the Pan Pacific Games in August and the Duel in the Pool competition in Manchester, England in December 2009.
