Luciana Muraira De la Garza

Luciana-Muraira-de-la-GarzaLuciana Muraira De la Garza began her piano lessons at age 5 with a private tutor. In January 2008, she won her first piano competition at the age of 8. A few years later she entered the Fine Arts School of Music and Dance of Monterrey, becoming pupil of the recognized Uzbekistan pianist Nargiza Kamilova.

In 2017, De la Garza started her bachelor’s degree at the University of Fine Arts at Colima with the Duo Petrof, Anatoly Zatín and Vlada Vassilieva, and transferred to Indiana Wesleyan University in 2019. She is currently pupil of Dr. Phoenix Park Kim.

Outside of her college program experiences, she has taken courses and participated in festivals such as the Festival and Academy of Music Tequila, the International Piano Festival and Master Class at the University of Nuevo Leon, the Semper Music International Festival in Schlern, Italy, and the Petrnoffest International Piano Festival in Czech Republic. She has also taken Master Classes with masters such as Yunjie Chen, Cyprien Katsaris, Tatiana Gerasimova, Alexei Sokolov, Ksenia Nosikova, Oksana Yablonskaya, Sofia Gulyak, Luca Quiantore, Eva Maria Zuk, David Rodriguez and Jorge Federico Osorio.

De la Garza has competed in several competitions such as the National Competition of Young Pianists Parnassos and the ESMDM Scholarship for International Summer Festival, where she took 1st place. In the Carmel Klavier Piano International Competition in 2017, she took 2nd place and won a scholarship to study at Indiana Wesleyan University in Indianapolis. She also won 3rd place in the Fifth National Piano Competition "Claudio Herrera" in 2017 and 1st place in the Cuervo-Petrof International Piano Competition in 2018. In 2019, she won the Concerto competition to perform with Indiana Wesleyan University Orchestra.

In 2022 De la Garza was invited to perform as a Guest Artist at the Haus Der Musik Axixic Piano Festival in Jalisco, Mexico. In the same year she attended the Art of the Piano Festival in Cincinnati, Ohio, organized by renowned pianist Awadagin Pratt. In her career she has given concerts on important stages in Monterrey, Mexico City, Colima, Jalisco, the United States, Italy, and Czech Republic, as well as her debut with the Marina Philharmonic at the National Conservatory of Mexico City.
