The SMU Meadows School of the Arts encompasses nine academic areas of study in the performing, visual and communication arts. The school’s active and robust alumni network – more than 22,000 strong worldwide – includes artists, professionals and communicators who have built careers in arts and arts-adjacent fields.

Share a Job with the SMU Meadows Network
We are pleased to share internship and full and part-time job opportunities with members of the SMU Meadows School of the Arts Network LinkedIn, a closed group with 2,250 alumni and student members. Administrative review and approval are required for all posts.
Collaborate with Our Career Center
In partnership with all schools on campus, SMU’s Hegi Family Career Development Center collaborates with employers to recruit students through participation in on-campus interviews, career fairs, job postings and more. Post Jobs on Handshake
Employers are encouraged to set up an account on Handshake, SMU’s primary career services platform for its students and alumni. Once your account is approved, you’ll be permitted to post available job and internship opportunities at your discretion. Handshake is open to all students and graduates from each of the University’s eight schools, so postings have the broadest possible reach within the SMU community.
Host an Internship for Students with Diverse Identities
Employers may apply to offer a summer 2024 internship through the SMU Hegi Family Career Development Center’s DEI Internship Program for undergraduate students. If your application is selected, the Hegi Center will offer a concierge service to collect intern application materials, conduct interviews and match your position to an intern. Employer partners will be responsible for creating a comprehensive onboarding and training experience, providing supervision and evaluations for intern work, and facilitating payroll. Funding provided by the Hegi Family Career Development Center may also be available on a limited basis for selected internships at non-profit organizations.
