Step 1: Schedule a Campus Visit
Many visitors like to begin their day by attending a general SMU Information Session and touring campus with SMU’s admissions team before learning about the degree programs at the Meadows School of the Arts.
This is a great way to gain an overview of the admissions process, student life, and the campus prior to learning about the performing, visual and communication arts programs at Meadows.
The general SMU Information Sessions are typically offered at 10:00 a.m. and 2:15 p.m. with Campus tours offered at 10:30 a.m. and 2:45 (afternoon tour during academic year only).

Step 2: Schedule a Meadows Visit
Meadows recruiters host a daily 1:00 p.m. information session at the Owen Arts Center in the Bob Hope Lobby to provide prospective students with an overview of our majors and minors as well as information on our audition, portfolio, and scholarship processes. We wrap up our session with a tour of the Meadows facilities.
Additionally, we encourage juniors, seniors, and transfer students with specific program questions to use the Meadows Visit Registration Form to schedule a personalized visit.
Please note that personalized visits must be arranged two weeks in advance.
Please note that we are unable to provide individual appointments with faculty and/or class visits between May 5 - August 25, due to the summer break. We strongly encourage you to schedule a visit during our Fall or Spring semesters. Additionally, if you wish to arrange an individual appointment, please check your possible visit dates with the 2014-15 SMU Academic Calendar to avoid campus breaks.
