Pamela A. McNulty, Director, Office of Pre-Health Advising

Pamela McNulty joined the Office of Pre-Health Advising as Director in 2015. She earned a B.S. in Medical Technology at Northeast Louisiana University (now University of Louisiana at Monroe) and a minor in Chemistry, which included a one-year clinical internship at Baylor University Medical Center in Dallas. Pamela holds a board certification with the American Society for Clinical Pathology, MT(ASCP), now Medical Laboratory Scientist (MLS). Her areas of expertise included Clinical Chemistry, Toxicology, and Immunohematology at Baylor University Medical Center (Dallas); and Hematology/Immunohematology at Gulfport Memorial Hospital. In both locations, she served as a clinical trainer and instructor. During her tenure at Baylor, she received the Clinical Instructor of the Year award (Medical Technologist) from UT Southwestern Medical Center.

Pamela later completed a M.S. in Higher Education with a minor in Counseling at Texas A&M University-Commerce (now East Texas A&M University) and transitioned to academia. Prior to joining the Office of Pre-Health Advising, Pamela was an Academic Advisor and Pre-Health Specialist in the University Advising Center at SMU. She also taught a Human Development course, facilitated learning strategies workshops, and provided academic counseling as a Learning Specialist in the Altshuler Learning Enhancement Center. Before joining SMU, Pamela was an adjunct faculty member at Eastfield College. As an educator and former healthcare professional, Pamela brings a passion for empowering Pre-Health students with the knowledge and skills required to help them reach their academic and professional goals.
