Peyton Gelfuso

Peyton Gelfuso is a senior from Los Angeles, California, who will graduate from Southern Methodist University in May 2026 with a degree in Political Science and minors in Spanish and Business. She is honored to be a member of the SMU Pre-Law Scholars Program and is grateful for the networking opportunities and guidance provided by the program and its staff.

While law school is not part of her immediate post-graduation plan, Peyton intends to pursue a law degree in the future, with academic interests in criminal justice reform and corporate law. In the near term, she hopes to gain more hands-on experience in policymaking and politics on Capitol Hill.

On campus, Peyton serves as President of Delta Delta Delta and is an active member of the Dallas community, working as the Community Outreach Coordinator at The Table to support individuals experiencing homelessness. She has extensive political experience through campaign work at the local, state, and federal levels and currently works as a marketing and sales intern at a motion control and servo drive manufacturing company.
