Mallory Lorant
Mallory is double-majoring in Philosophy and Corporate Communication and Public Affairs on the Political track, with minors in Spanish and Law and Legal Reasoning. She maintains a 3.98 GPA and is on the Honor Roll with High Distinction. She is a member of Phi Beta Kappa, the University Honors Program, Pre-Law Scholars, and Dedman College Scholars, where she serves as Vice President. She has also been recognized as a Distinguished Scholar and a CCPA Advisory Board Scholar. Mallory is extensively involved in campus leadership, serving as President of Delta Gamma and a tutor at the Altshuler Learning Enhancement Center, specializing in Spanish, writing, statistics, and communication theory. She has represented SMU in selective academic settings, including Hilltop on the Hill in Washington, D.C., where she was chosen as one of eleven students to engage with legislators and federal institutions. Mallory has dedicated more than 3,600 hours to volunteer work and founded ELEVATE, a service initiative focused on domestic violence awareness and youth empowerment. Her recent internship with the Tarrant County Justice of the Peace 4 Court further reaffirmed her commitment to justice and the law. After graduation, she plans to attend law school and pursue a career in criminal law, specializing in child advocacy and family law.
