Claire Karapetian-McKinney
Claire Karapetian-McKinney is majoring in psychology with minors in art history and French. She is a recipient of the Founder’s Scholarship for Outstanding Academic Achievement. On campus, Claire serves as the Non-Profit Social Media and Outreach Lead for the Women in Law Organization, where she helps promote resources and opportunities for students that are interested in legal careers. She is also a member of Phi Alpha Delta, SMU’s pre-law fraternity, and Psi Chi, the International Psychology Honor Society. Claire’s academic background and involvement have shaped her interest in corporate law, criminal law, civil rights law and M&A. Claire hopes to integrate her understanding of psychology into her future work in the legal field, particularly in areas that are related to decision-making, organizational behavior, and justice. After graduation, Claire plans to attend law school and pursue a career where she can bring together her interest in the law with what she has learned about how people think and behave.
