Christina Mathew
Christina Mathew is a triple-major in Accounting, Economics, and Music with a specialization in Vocal Performance. Throughout her time at SMU, she has enjoyed serving as a Pre-Major Senator in the SMU Student Senate, Vice President of the Women’s Innovative Network, and as both President and a Student Leader in the Fellowship of Christian University Students campus ministry. She is recognized as a Pre-Law Scholar, a Benton Scholar in the Dedman College of Humanities and Sciences, and a Meadows Artistic Scholar in the Meadows School of the Arts. Balancing a rigorous academic schedule with professional responsibilities, Christina works at the Perkins School of Theology to help build out their online Master of Divinity program. She also serves as a Financial Accounting Teaching Assistant in the Cox School of Business. Christina is deeply passionate about her faith and co-founded Faith Like a Child, a state-registered nonprofit organization dedicated to spreading God’s love one smile at a time throughout the DFW area. Through this, she partners with ministries at the Dallas Life Homeless Shelter and Amazing Grace Food Pantry to support and uplift underserved communities. Looking ahead, Christina aims to combine her interests in Accounting and Law to pursue a career in tax or corporate law, bringing analytical rigor, leadership, and a service-oriented perspective to the legal field.
