Brett Trussell
Brett A. Trussell is from Mansfield, Texas, and is completing a double major in Political Science and Public Policy, with an expected graduation in 2028. He is minoring in Economics, History, Human Rights, Law and Legal Reasoning, and Public Policy and International Affairs (PPIA) through the Nexpoint Tower Scholars program. He was a Hilltop Scholar in his first year and is a member of the University Honors Program. On campus, he is an officer of the Debate Club, the Moot Court Club, and the Tower Student Forum. He is also a student worker for the Center for Presidential History. He is passionate about current affairs, criminal justice reform, and comparative constitutional law. Post-graduation, Brett hopes to either work in public policy focused on improving equity in the legal system and society or advance his education by completing a postgraduate program. In the long run, he aims to attend law school and become a constitutional litigator at the appellate level.
