Alexandra Lahiri

Alexandra Lahiri graduated from Southern Methodist University in 2025 with a B.A. in Music (Classical Voice) from the Meadows School of the Arts and a B.A. in International Studies (European Studies) from Dedman College of Humanities and Sciences. She earned quadruple minors in Classical Studies, Latin, European Area Studies, and Church Music, while on the Pre-Law track. During her time at SMU, in addition to being a Pre-Law Scholar, Alexandra was a Dedman College Scholar, a Meadows Artistic Scholar, a member of the University Honors Program, a Hegi Career Leader, a founding member of the Maguire Center of Ethics Student Advisory Board, President of the SMU Chapter of the Orthodox Christian Fellowship, and a Richter Fellow. Being awarded the Richter Fellowship, she conducted research in Greece about the Kalavryta Massacre and successfully defended her senior honors thesis at her oral defense, earning her Department Distinction and Honors in International Studies. Alexandra presented her research at the 2025 SMU Fall Research Symposium, and was interviewed on NBC DFW 5, where her story was shared during the weekend of the 82nd commemoration of the World War II atrocity. Following graduation, she continues to work as an intern at Brewer Attorneys & Counselors, with goals to continue to conduct research on her passion project about the Kalavryta Massacre and attend law school to become an international lawyer, defending those whose rights and freedoms are suppressed around the world.
